We went to Zach's Awards Banquet this past Saturday. They have the awards banquet every year in January to give out awards to the firefighters for what they have accomplished through out the year. It starts off with us having a very nice dinner. After we have eat dinner they start giving out the awards. They give out awards for Fire Prevention Presentation, Honor Guard, Training award, Promotional award, Badge Pinning, Presidents Award, Years of Service, Ten year ring Presentation, Lifetime Achievement Award, and then the Firefighter of the year Award. This year Zach got awards for Fire Prevention, Training, and Promotional. Then the best Award was when he got 2008 Firefighter of the Year. When they started to give this award out they had two people stand up and say something about the person. Zach not only got a Plauq , a Fire Bell, but also they had a helmet that has a firefighter painted on it by one of the men he works with. I am so proud of Zach for getting this award.

We are so proud of our son...He has continued to excell in each and every journey the Lord has given him..He is a wonderful husband to his wife, a sweet and caring father to his precious son and one of the most humble preachers we know.He is a son to us that is always loving and caring... and now to be honored with Firefighter of the year...what an accomplishment..Our prayers are for him daily and with all the men he serves and works with..Zachariah...you make us proud...May God continue to bless you and your little family....Love Mama and Pie

To say I am proud is an understatement! I always felt in my heart when you were born again that God would use you in a mighty way. I know he is at your church with the youth and all you do with them, and how much they appreciate and look up to you. But you are also saving lives of people who may never realize it till all is said and done. I am so proud of you! We continue to pray for God to use you in mighty things! Love you bunches
